This compression top is handmade in Los Angeles with a very soft 70% nylon, 30% spandex compression knit with antimicrobial and moisture management treatments. It was very carefully designed to have strong seams, clean finishes, and no rough areas or tags to scratch or irritate the skin. The two layers of fabric in the front work to compress the chest without making it hard to breathe. The nylon coil zipper and dressing hook in the front makes dressing and undressing much easier!

Not all brands use the same sizing, so please check our size chart above. The 3/4 length silhouette is for people with a lot or low-set breast tissue, providing more coverage than our half-length binders. If you do not need the extra length, this style may roll up around your waist, so you would want to consider getting the Zip Binder instead.

Nipples should press flat against the fabric when binding - do not point downwards!! It is often best to adjust tissue to where it would naturally shift when you lay naked on your back. Our zipper offers the unique option of putting your binder on while actually laying back this way - for the safest binding - as well as a quick release when necessary, even with a shirt still on! Breathe deep to stay present on long days :)

LIGHTWEIGHT VERSION EXPLANATION:
We were having trouble getting enough fabric from our local supplier due to the pandemic, and we wanted to offer more colors, so we ordered some fabric from another supplier. In addition to the color coming out slightly different than expected, this fabric was also a bit lighter weight and stretchier than our primary fabric, more like the swim fabric we use for the Active Top and Tucking Bikini. Since this does affect the fit and feel of the binder, we have decided to label items made with this fabric as "Lightweight." These may feel looser, especially in larger sizes due to the stretch, so we recommend sizing down to account for this if purchasing the lightweight version. The upside is that the lightweight binders are more swim and exercise-safe than our typical binders, though we don't recommend swimming in the white color, especially not in a chlorinated pool. The lighter-weight fabric will be more breathable, but is also thinner. They are also a great option for post-op recovery from top surgery or lyposuction in this area, or for anyone who is looking for compression similar to that of the Active Top but with this longer silhouette and a zipper.

Fit

Please see our official size chart using the button above. There is also a chart based on bra cup sizes in the last photo, but this may not be as accurate as using your confirmed individual measurements.

While the "regular" half-length Zip Binder (sizes XXS-6X) uses a 10" zipper, this style is longer, featuring a 12" zipper in sizes XS-XL and a 14" zipper for sizes 2X-6X. This style and the "Zip Plus Compression Top" have now been combined into one style covering the full size range. We have denoted these as "3/4 Length" to minimize confusion about the sizing, as the half-length style also comes in plus sizes, but this one is longer to provide more coverage for those who need it. Those who do not have heavy-set chests may find that the extra length is excessive and may roll. The construction is very similar between this style and the "regular" fit, with the same amount of compression, but the neckline on this one is also a little higher and less square than our regular "Zip Binder." Additionally, this style has dressing hooks to help with zipping it closed.

Our soft binders offer comfortable compression designed to prevent back pain, difficulty breathing, chafing, sensory issues, and binder-related anxiety in addition to using fabric treated with antimicrobial and wicking finishes. Styles like this one, called "compression tops" in their titles - though they use the same fabric as our soft binders - probably won't get the wearer entirely flat due to the shape or body type they are designed for, so please keep realistic expectations. For more information on binding, click here!

Older Folx, Look No More!

I have been extremely frustrated with every binder company that I have purchased from or contacted, because they seem to only be making binders that work for younger bodies. I am an elder trans, and every binder I have tried has failed my softer sagging body in both design and sizing, and when I voiced concerns with multiple binder makers, I was just directed to the returns page. My dysphoria has been debilitating lately, and I felt punished by the industry for being “too late” to gender-affirming surgery. Thus, you would not believe how happy I was when my email to Gender Bender expressing my frustration with the length of the binder and shape of straps got a long, detailed, and personal reply from the owner. They walked me through several options, explained the reasons behind their recommendation, and honestly treated me like a valid member of the community. My concerns were addressed and we settled on this very binder, and when it came in the mail and I tried it on yesterday, I wept and wept and wept. I am crying as I write this review, because for the first time ever, the body ignored by all the binder makers was finally in a piece of clothing that made me experience less dysphoria, but not at the expense of comfort. My saggy old tits were bound well, there was no bulging flesh around the arms/armpits, and the straps did not dig into my shoulders at all.

I feel choked by a lot of binders and can'...

I feel choked by a lot of binders and can't wear them very long due to anxiety issues, and my body type means they're usually too tight over my bust even though they don't even sit against my flesh underbust. This has a relaxed and breathable fit I can wear for longer, and actually fits all of me. I was generous about the sizing so I already knew I wasn't going to get completely flat, but I can mitigate dysphoria without causing unrelated anxiety now.

Best binder for large chests

I’ve tried various compression tops and binders, and this is by far the most comfortable. At my size i unfortunately can’t get as flat as I wish, but that’s no fault of the binder. I found I can get flatter with gc2b but the fabric and seams were dreadfully uncomfortable. This is easy to put on, more comfortable than my wildest dreams, and the easy take off is everything especially when I have a POTS attack. I’ll definitely be buying more in the future.
