Our sturdy compression wraps are perfect for getting firm compression without shoulder straps or needing to lift the arms too high to struggle into a compression garment. They can be used around the chest or torso. Pictures listed here show use on the chest of someone with C-cups for a flattening effect.
This heavy duty elastic won't fold up or down during use and is ideal for high compression. We are in the process of having some softer compression wraps made for those who would prefer a more flexible belt. Alternatively, our lightweight Zip Binder (available now in sizes XXS-8X) is a very comfortable option, as long as the user's range of movement allows them to get their arms through the armholes.
We had these smooth bands of high quality support elastic premade in sizes XS-4X (70-150cm) by a support band manufacturer in China, but we can custom-make other sizes by splicing 2 smaller wraps together. There's really no risk with going for 1 size larger than you think you need, as it offers plenty of surface for the special no-scratch velcro to hook anywhere on the outer layer of the band and secure your bind firmly! NEVER SIZE DOWN. If your size appears to be out of stock, please check the other widths that are likely available, or contact us to see if we can alter an existing band to your desired size.
We now have different widths to choose from, as requested. Narrow widths are great for people with short torsos or people who are compressing the chest and have a significantly smaller chest than belly, so that it won't cut into the waist or armpits. Wider widths are good for those with particularly long chests or for those using these for broad compression around the torso.
Binders with velcro closures might not bind breasts completely evenly, so please try to be careful in your placement/adjustment and close these in the center front for the most even compression.
High heat can damage the elastic. Machine wash and dry it with the rest of your synthetic garments on low heat, or alone on delicate. Must be dried completely before use - using damp wraps may cause discomfort, friction, or result in a skin infection. Do not use if allergic to nylon, cotton, terylene polyester, or rubber elastane.
Fit
FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT HAD TOP SURGERY OR HAVE ONLY HAD A REDUCTION:
Please base sizing on the largest measurement around the chest/bust. The wider width may be best for those with large cup sizes, but narrower widths could be good for people with small cup sizes or who are fairly stout. FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD TOP SURGERY AND ARE NOW FULLY FLAT:
Please base sizing on the chest measurement just under the armpits (not around or below the bust) for the largest measurement around the flat chest. Size up if unsure. We recommend narrower widths for this use, especially for those with short torsos or protruding bellies.
FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE ONLY USING THIS AROUND THE ABDOMEN:
Please base sizing on the largest measurement around the waist where you plan to use it. Width for this use is totally up to personal preference!
FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE USING THIS AROUND THE CHEST AND ABDOMEN:
Please base sizing on the largest measurement around the chest, bust, or abdomen - the wrap can be infinitely tightened, so we would much rather you have a larger size than a small size that needs to be sent back!
Sizes listed below are the actual length of the band, so please select one that is at least 5cm/2in longer than the body measurement. If unsure, feel free to get 1 size larger than listed below. These soft bands of high quality elastic now come in 8 premade sizes:
XS - approximately 70cm (best suited for people with body measurements up to 25.5 inches around)
S - approximately 80cm (best suited for people with body measurements up to 29 inches around)
M - approximately 90cm (best suited for people with body measurements up to 33 inches around)
L - approximately 100cm (best suited for people with body measurements up to 37 inches around)
XL - approximately 110cm (best suited for people with body measurements up to 41 inches around)
2X - approximately 130cm (best suited for people with body measurements up to 48 inches around)
3X - approximately 150cm (best suited for people with body measurements up to 56 inches around)
4X - approximately 170cm (best suited for people with body measurements up to 64 inches around)
Larger sizes can be made-to-order using 2 smaller wraps:
5X - 2 "L" (100cm bands spliced) to create a wrap approximately 190cm long, for people up to 72"
6X - 2 "XL" (110cm bands spliced) to create a wrap approximately 210cm long, for people up to 80"
Other sizes can be made using the same splicing technique.
We were asked to offer wider widths than our original 16cm, so we had the plus sizes made in 18cm, but we find that wraps that are too wide for certain body types tend to bite into the armpits and/or waist more, so 14cm wraps are now also available for people with very short torsos or significantly larger waists than their chest measurements.
