Our Active Tops are handmade in Los Angeles with a swimsafe compression tricot. It is carefully designed to have strong seams, clean finishes, and no rough areas or tags to scratch or irritate the skin. The two layers of fabric in the front work to compress the chest without making it hard to breathe. It may be about as binding as a sports bra, but with a more masculine cut for swimming and workouts.

This top is made of a lighter-weight compression material than our soft binders, offering compression that is safer and more comfortable for rigorous activity as well as swimming, because it dries quickly. Although, we don't recommend swimming in the white color, especially not in a chlorinated pool. Keep in mind that there is also no padding, so things like nipple rings may be noticeable. For styles with lower necklines or zippers in the same light-weight material, see our Lightweight Compression Tops.

Not all brands and styles use the same sizing so please check our size chart in the Fit tab if the button above is not working.


The prints are not on our usual compression swim fabric, so they are stretchier and not as flattening as the plain colors. So, keep in mind that the single-colored tops may feel tighter in comparison to the prints.

Active Top Size Chart

This top is made of a lighter-weight compression material than our soft binders, offering compression that is safer and more comfortable for rigorous activity as well as swimming, because it dries quickly. It may be about as binding as a sports bra, but with a more masculine cut for swimming and workouts.

FOR THOSE BETWEEN SIZES:
If you have broad shoulders/chest (so most of that measurement is ribcage, not breast tissue), or get claustrophobic/anxiety or back pain from binding, I'd recommend the larger size. If you have a small frame and larger cup size or very soft tissue, the smaller size will likely work much better! If you still aren't sure, go with the smaller one and we can exchange for a different size if needed. Free exchanges are available within the US but may be slow, and international exchanges are subject to shipping costs, so please pick carefully!

The prints are not on our usual compression swim fabric, so they are stretchier and not as flattening as the plain colors. So, keep in mind that the single-colored tops may feel tighter in comparison to the prints.

As a precaution, we have increased the grade of length between sizes. This means that while the small sizes will have a similar length to our Half Binders as pictured, larger sizes will be longer and approach the length of the 3/4 length Zip Plus in the plus sizes.

We are working on a full-length version with an extra panel over the chest for release in Spring '24!

Fantastic design! I've bought four of these tops and I wear one every day. I have a binder from a different company that is tighter, but I really love the design from this shop because I can wear it all day long and it still feels comfortable while providing the compression I want. It's also a huge bonus that you can wear this design while swimming!
